Priorities for the coming years:

Community Safety

As a strong advocate for public safety, Ian has been endorsed by the Redwood City Fire Fighters Association and the Police Sergeants Association. He is the only candidate who has been through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, and is working with community leaders to develop a disaster preparedness plan for each of Redwood City's neighborhoods.

Energy Efficiency and Conservation

Redwood City is saving millions of gallons of water through the recycled water program and artificial turf on sports fields. Ian is working to reduce Redwood City's energy use and carbon emissions. He will work to increase our use of solar power and phase in plug-in hybrids to replace old fleet vehicles.

Beautification and Neighborhood Improvements

Ian is working to raise community standards and improve some of the City's run-down neighborhoods. He will work to make El Camino, Middlefield, Whipple and Woodside Road more attractive and safer for bicycles and pedestrians. The result will improve the City's image for visitors and residents alike.
